2004 DAYTONA 955i
It's
rude to stare; though with the 2004 Daytona's chiseled good looks, forgivable.
Sporting a sleeker, more
aerodynamic top fairing, shapely mirrors, color-coded air intakes and a svelte
new seat cowl, the Daytona 955i is as handsome as ever. Its beauty is much more
than skin deep though and under the sharp new exterior beats a highly refined,
fuel-injected, three-cylinder heart.
There's no mistaking the lusty
sound of a triple and the Daytona delivers a heady peak power output of 147bhp
(149PS). We've long perfected the balance between power and usability though and
you'll find a great spread throughout the rev range, giving instant drive in any
of the six gears. Peak torque is 100Nm (74ft.lbf) at 8,200 rpm.
The Daytona's chassis, likewise,
provides the perfect blend of stability and responsiveness. As with all our
sports bikes, both front and rear suspension are fully adjustable to tailor the
955i to suit the road conditions and payload and of course your own riding
style. Braking is taken care of by twin floating discs on the front and a single
disc rear.
Three sophisticated color schemes
- Jet Black, Tornado Red and Racing Yellow - paired with understated graphics
compliment the Daytona's unique looks. And for 2004 a special edition Daytona,
with Jet Black paintwork and a textured black finish on the frame, wheels and
swingarm, will also be available.
New for 2004 - Revised cockpit
fairing, mirrors, air intakes and seat cowl. Jet Black special edition also
available.
MSRP: $9,999.00
